Dr. Sears grew up in the greater metro area of San Saba, TX, population 3000! He was very active during his time there competing in football, basketball, baseball, track, and tennis. He went on to complete his undergraduate education at Texas Tech University in Lubbock then attended medical school at the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in El Paso. He completed his transitional year of training at John Peter Smith Hospital System in Fort Worth at which time he developed an appreciation for the DFW area. He then completed his residency at the University of Arizona where he was chief resident during his final year before returning to Texas.
Dr. Sears enjoys spending time with family and friends and his dog Raider. He is also a die-hard Texas Tech fan as you might expect and enjoys all sports, recently taking up golf.
